What is Help Me Fund It?
Help Me Fund It is an idea validation platform. Creators post product or service ideas, and people can pledge to show they'd pay for it if it were built. It helps you prove there's demand before investing time and money into building something.
Does any money actually change hands?
No. Pledges are expressions of interest only — not financial commitments. No money is collected from pledgers. It's purely a way to gauge demand and build an interested audience.
Is this like Kickstarter or crowdfunding?
Not quite. Crowdfunding platforms collect money upfront with the promise of delivery. Help Me Fund It validates ideas before you commit to building. Think of it as the step before crowdfunding — proving demand exists first.
For creators
How do I post an idea?
Sign up for an account, then click "Post idea" from your dashboard or the navigation bar. Describe your idea, set a price point that you think you'd charge, and publish. It's that simple.
What makes a good idea listing?
Be specific about what you're proposing and who it's for. Explain the problem you're solving and why you're the right person to build it. A clear price point helps people understand the value proposition.
Can I contact people who've pledged?
Yes, with a Pro subscription you can message your pledgers. This is perfect for gathering feedback, announcing updates, or letting them know when you're ready to launch.
What happens if nobody pledges?
That's valuable information too! It might mean the idea needs refining, the price point is wrong, or there isn't demand. Better to learn this now than after you've built something.
Am I obligated to build my idea?
No. Help Me Fund It is for validation, not commitment. You're free to pursue the idea, pivot, or decide it's not worth building based on the response you get.
For pledgers
What does pledging mean?
Pledging tells a creator you'd be interested in their product at the stated price point. If you like the idea, but not the price-point, pledge what you think it's worth. You're not committing to buy anything — you're showing support and helping them validate the idea.
Will I be charged anything?
No. Pledges are completely free. You're never asked for payment details when pledging, and the creator cannot charge you through Help Me Fund It.
Will the creator contact me?
They might, to share updates or ask for feedback. You can opt-in to receive messages from creators, and unsubscribe from creator communications at any time. Your email address is only shared with creators of ideas you've pledged to with your permission.
Can I withdraw my pledge?
Yes, you can remove your pledge at any time from your dashboard. The creator won't be notified specifically, but their pledge count will update.
Accounts and subscriptions
Is it free to use?
Yes! Creating an account, browsing ideas, pledging, and posting ideas are all free. You are limited to posting one idea on the free tier. We offer a Pro subscription with additional features for serious creators.
What does Pro include?
Pro subscribers can add as many ideas as they like, message their pledgers directly, access detailed analytics, and get priority support. Check the subscription page in your dashboard for current pricing and features.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to your dashboard, click "Subscription", and follow the link to manage your billing. You can cancel anytime and will keep access until your current billing period ends.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Visit your account settings to delete your account. This will remove your profile, ideas, and pledges. This action cannot be undone.
